This could be you & your family...

Location 1: Getting ready

One of my greatest honors as a wedding photographer is getting to be in the moments that are often private to most of the world. Be it Fenia putting on some finishing touches on makeup, laughing with your friends who surround you as you get ready, or Ethan putting on his suit jacket, I love capturing these moments to be treasured for years to come.

As you & your families get ready at the hotel, many precious moments are shared. Champagne toasts & uncontrollable laughter, each of which will be captured by our ready eyes.

LOCATION 2: central park ceremony

The ceremony is such a beautiful time of showcasing your commitment in front of those closest to you. For me & my associates, we will not just capture the walks down the aisle & your first kiss, but also the way Ethan smiles as Fenia gives her vows, & the way your sister tears up as you two say yes to forever with each other.

Micro-weddings are my favorite wedding celebrations because of the level of intentionality that gets to go into them. If you move forward with us, we will approach every moment with an intentional & artistic heart.

Location 3: Family photos + couples photos

Family photos are such a joy. I do not want this to be a mundane part of your celebration, but, instead, right after the ceremony, capture hugs & laughter that will undoubtedly come after you two say "I do". Then we will move into taking group photos of many different variations (I will help you make a shot list in advance) & get these done in an efficient manner so we can continue on with the rest of your day.

Couples photos are the bread of my work. I will give you two prompts that help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, as well as play off your natural energy together to capture moments that are authentically you. We will take traditionally formal wedding photos & candid photos of joy that you will want to make your phone lock screen. We can dance in the middle of Bethesda, make our ways down the Central Park paths, & then hit up the streets surrounding the park for some NYC street photos. If you two want, we can even hail a taxi & ride it on down to another neighborhood to capture the diversity of vibes New York has to offer. It is up to you two, & all of these things we can plan as your date gets closer.

LOCATION 4: restaurant celebration

The butter of my work is candid celebration. What better way to celebrate right after you two say "I do" than in the company of those closest to you over a good meal?! Food is at the center of so much community, & beautiful moments of laughter occur when sharing in a good meal. Whether it is just that, laughter, or spontaneous toasts that are given, we will be a fly on the wall capturing all the candid memories that take place.

Below are some more film photos from previous weddings, an elopement, & sessions.

Digital + Film Photo Investment: $2,550 for 3 hours on May 13, 2023.

The Carissa Joy Photo treatment is one that takes a real look at who you are as a couple, & documents your wedding day authentically to who you are. I hope you feel that already through the way I have included mostly photos that could translate to an autumn Central Park wedding, followed by an evening of taking photos on the streets & having the time of your life with friends at a bowling alley & different bars. My team & I believe we are best suited for you, because of the way we specialize in the in between moments, both big & small, so we hope to help make that vision come to life for you in both digital & film. Micro-weddings are packed full of genuine moments of love & laughter, we will help you relive each one.

Film has a special character to its images. It is not just a trend making its way through the current wedding zeitgeist, it is a timeless practice of capturing love in a whimsical & raw way. I genuinely think that film photography is the most romantic way to capture a wedding, as the character of the images give off warm vibes & are inherently both nostalgic & timeless. The practice of film photography brings such intentionality to the moment, that can be felt & experienced when you receive them once developed.

This proposal includes two rolls of film, an additional photographer who specializes in film to be there to capture everything for all 3 hours, the editing of all 72 film images, & 60+ digital images per hour (at least 180 digital images in your final wedding gallery, but Carissa Joy Photo delivers between 240 digital images on average for three hours of service). We deliver each film photo taken, even if it is slightly out of focus or blurred, because that is the magic of film photography - "mistakes" are made beautiful.

Digital Photo Investment: $2,200 for 3 hours on May 13, 2023.

If you two decide film photography is not something you want to invest in now, no problem! While it is one of my favorite services offered, it can always be added on at a later time. Regardless, my team & I would be so excited to capture the joy of your wedding day through a digital medium.

Our same heart for capturing the big & small moments will serve you on your most important day.

As always, we guarantee 60+ fully edited images per hour, which would give you 180+ images in your final wedding gallery (Carissa Joy Photo delivers between 240 digital images on average for three hours of coverage).

Whether you have more questions or you are ready to book one of the options, let me know!

I am happy to address any area you might be confused on or bring more clarity to each proposal. BUT if you are ready to full send it on either of these proposals, PLEASE do not hesitate to text me, because you already know I will be doing a happy dance as I write up your contract & send it your way.

I value attention to detail for your images...

I photoshopped people & distractions out of this image to ensure Jazzmin & Brandon could have a perfectly magical engagement photo, even though we took these on a busy Friday evening. I will give you two the same dedication.

Once you are ready to book you will...

1) Sign the contract I send over.

The contract is pretty simples & straight forward. It is designed to not just protect our business, but also you to, as all of Carissa Joy Photo's promises will be written down in this contract. From services performed, to editing, & editing schedules, we both will sign the contract to ensure we are on the same page + all of our needs are met. If you have any questions regarding any aspect of it, my team & I are happy to answer!

2) Put down a 30% deposit.

Details about the 30% deposit will be in the contract. Once I receive the retainer, I will mark the date of your wedding off on my calendar, so that if any other potential clients inquire with me for that day, I can confidently tell them, "So sorry, but I already have a stunning wedding with an amazing couple scheduled for that day!"

3) Jump up & down for joy with me.

Once the contract is signed & the deposit is paid, I am OFFICIALLY your photographer! What an honor that will be & I truly cannot wait to make this happen. I am confident in the beauty we will capture together, both the planned & the unplanned moments. So many priceless photos come from in between, candid moments, & I will be right by your side for however many hours you choose, to photograph each one.
