Intentional. This word showed up five times
in Veronica & Michael's wedding day inquiry form. They wrote to me, "The word that we keep using to describe how we want the day to be is 'intentional'. We don't want to 'check boxes' just because 'thats what a wedding is/does'."
A focus on intentionality is such a beautiful thing to see when talking with couples after they first inquire. My favorite part of photographing weddings is the fact that each one is so different, because of how unique every single couple is. Veronica & Michael decided they are not going to have a wedding party, because their guest list as a whole is full of people who would be the supporting force of a traditional wedding party. This is only one example of how Veronica & Michael are doing their wedding day in their own way.
It is such an honor that they chose us to photograph their wedding day on 35mm film & digital, especially considering how intentional they have been with each decision that comes with the wedding planning process. Their level of intentionality was no different, as we took their engagement photos in the neighborhood where their love was first nurtured, the Seaport. I cannot wait till their wedding day, come April 2023.
